**Installation Instructions for SOC710 Software (Windows 7)**


DO NOT PLUG IN THE SYSTEM UNTIL AFTER THE SYSTEM SOFTWARE IS INSTALLED AND THE COMPUTER HAS BEEN RESTARTED

Step 1)	Check to make sure the CD has the latest version of the LuCam Software from the Lumenera Industrial Camera Downloads web page.
	If so, Navigate to the 'Drivers' folder located on the CD.
	Double-click on the installation program for the camera "LuCamSoftware"
	Follow the onscreen prompts to install the software drivers. The installation script steps are 
	the same whether the installation takes place on a Windows XP, Windows VISTA, or Windows 7 platforms, 32 or 
	64-bit
	
Step 2) Install the SOC710 Data Acquisition software using install_SOC710_Software.exe

Step 3) Navigate to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Surface Optics Corporation\SOC710 Acquisition Software folder

Step 4) Copy/Replace the files in this directory with the files/folders on the CD under 'System Updates/SOC710 Acquisition Software'
	These files are specific to your system and provide you with the calibration and scanner settings for your device.

	'Settings' Folder
	'SOC710_Acquisition.exe'

Step 5) While in C:\Program Files (x86)\Surface Optics Corporation\SOC710 Acquisition Software folder
        Right click the new 'SOC710_Acquisition.exe' 
        Click Properties. Click Compatibility tab. Check 'Run this program as an administrator' Click OK.

Step 6) Copy the SRAnal710 folder containing the SR-Analysis 710 software from the CD to your hard disk.
        *If SRAnal710 software will not open, copy "Java" application shortcut into the directory of SRAnal710 Folder.

Step 7) If desired, create a shortcut for the file 'SRAnal710.bat' and place it on your desktop.

Step 8) Copy the 710 and 'SRAnalysis User's Manual'to the desktop.

Step 9) Restart the computer.

Step 10) Attach the camera and allow time for all of the drivers (5) to load.

Step 11) Start the camera via the SOC710 Data Acquisition icon on the desktop.

Step 12) Follow the manual to set the COM port setting when prompted.

Step 13) To update SOC710 COTS driver, Extract SOCUSB.sys v6.1.1.1 located in the 'Drivers' folder.
         Open device manager and locate the missing driver under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" 
         Right click missing driver. Update driver by browsing to your customer cd folder.
